In June 2025, our team travelled to Michigan International Speedway and competed in our fifth FSAE Competition. This season - as a result of more knowledge and experience underneath our belts - we challenged ourselves to undertake a new innovative design. These ambitious changes resulted in the successful implementation of a new battery pack and in-hub quad-motors. The advancement of our vehicle’s powertrain, along with an upgraded chassis and suspension system were then fully brought to fruition by the team’s adaptability and commitment to bringing our most exciting car to competition: Quintuna.
This year held the introduction of in-hub motors, marking a transition from RWD to AWD. In doing so, completing a full redesign of the chassis (reducing weight below 240 kg while accommodating to other design changes) and suspension systems (switching to a pushrod configuration), ensuring proper integration with the new hardware.
Additionally, we made a notable advancement in battery design with a transition from pouch cells to 18650 form while upping voltage from 300V-600V, thus improving performance and paving the way for future battery advancements.
The competition this year was very much a learning experience, and we can't wait to come back next year and show off what we can really do!
